Steps to build an aluminum pergola

Follow these instructions to build a simple automatic louver pergola in your backyard.

Step 1: Choose a location

Choose a flat area in your yard. If you don't have a flat spot, level the area by removing the soil.

When choosing a location, consider whether your pergola is freestanding or wall-mounted. Automatic louvered pergola requires electricity to make the louver roof work, choose a good installation location to determine the distance and length of the wire.

If it is a square, both measurements will be exactly the same. If not, adjust accordingly. Install the motor accessories inside the top bean of the pergola according to the instructions.
